The Rick Moore Academy, Inc. has taken the basic forms and methods from Okinawa, not only for Karate as a superior means of self-defense, but to produce students with self-discipline, self-control, and above all, self-respect.
Martial Arts is a way of life. It enables men, women, and children to realize their full potential, both mentally and physically. If the mental aspect is ignored, then the physical aspect is meaningless. Behind these doors, we try to maintain that attitude.
At The Rick Moore Academy, Inc., we offer an innovative method of teaching, while using traditional techniques, forms, history, and philosophy. We are a Karate vehicle geared towards an individual’s goals, needs, wants, and results.
The Rick Moore Academy, Inc., emphasizes instruction in order to develop the student’s greatest potential. Men, women, and children are all welcome. No one is too old or too young to study the Art. “Youth is a gift of Nature. Age is a work of Art.”
The Student Creed:
I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that could reduce my mental growth or physical health.
I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively to help myself and my fellow man and never be abusive or offensive.
